Open to visitors, these vast arenas regularly host shows, including the famous bullfights and Camargue bull races.<\/p>\n
Another flagship monument of the city of N\u00eemes, the Maison Carr\u00e9e, a superb Roman temple from the end of the 1st century, with columns topped with Corinthian capitals. The city of N\u00eemes also has a Museum of Fine Arts in which French and foreign paintings ranging from the 14th to the 19th century are exhibited.<\/p>\n
To these multiple attractions is added the essential discovery of the Jardin de la Fontaine, a marvelous romantic park, classified as a Remarkable Garden, laid out in the 18th century around the source of Nemausus and the ancient remains of the temple of Diana and the Magne tower. Very relaxing, the walk in these places reveals a French garden in the lower part, and a succession of Mediterranean plants, pines and cedars in the upper part. From the Magne tower, at the top of Mount Cavalier, the view over the rooftops of the city is superb!<\/p>\n
Before leaving the capital of Gard, be sure to take a stroll through the picturesque alleys of the old town and have a drink in one of the pretty squares, such as the Place du March\u00e9, the Place aux Herbes or again the Place de l\u2019Horloge.<\/p>\n
As for events, the Pentecost Feria, in May, is a great festive event lasting five days during which the bull is king. In addition to its bullfights, the Feria de N\u00eemes is also an opportunity to party with music, to the rhythm of the bandas, in the streets of the city center.<\/p>\n

To these multiple attractions is added the essential discovery of the Jardin de la Fontaine, a marvelous romantic park, classified as a Remarkable Garden, laid out in the 18th century around the source of Nemausus and the ancient remains of the temple of Diana and the Magne tower. Very relaxing, the walk in these places reveals a French garden in the lower part, and a succession of Mediterranean plants, pines and cedars in the upper part. From the Magne tower, at the top of Mount Cavalier, the view over the rooftops of the city is superb!<\/p>\n
Before leaving the capital of Gard, be sure to take a stroll through the picturesque alleys of the old town and have a drink in one of the pretty squares, such as the Place du March\u00e9, the Place aux Herbes or again the Place de l\u2019Horloge.<\/p>\n

To these multiple attractions is added the essential discovery of the Jardin de la Fontaine, a marvelous romantic park, classified as a Remarkable Garden, laid out in the 18th century around the source of Nemausus and the ancient remains of the temple of Diana and the Magne tower. Very relaxing, the walk in these places reveals a French garden in the lower part, and a succession of Mediterranean plants, pines and cedars in the upper part. From the Magne tower, at the top of Mount Cavalier, the view over the rooftops of the city is superb!<\/p>\n

\u2013 Place located 24km from Tarascon \u2013<\/em><\/h3>\nCity of Art and History, N\u00eemes is renowned for its ancient heritage and its particularly festive southern atmosphere. Remarkably preserved, the Roman amphitheater from the end of the 1st century and the beginning of the 2nd century, with a length of 133 meters and a width of 101 meters, can accommodate up to 24,000 spectators! Open to visitors, these vast arenas regularly host shows, including the famous bullfights and Camargue bull races.<\/p>\n
Another flagship monument of the city of N\u00eemes, the Maison Carr\u00e9e, a superb Roman temple from the end of the 1st century, with columns topped with Corinthian capitals. Opposite the Maison Carr\u00e9e stands the Carr\u00e9 d\u2019Art, a modern building that houses a Museum of Contemporary Art. The city of N\u00eemes also has a Museum of Fine Arts in which French and foreign paintings ranging from the 14th to the 19th century are exhibited.<\/p>\n
To these multiple attractions is added the essential discovery of the Jardin de la Fontaine, a marvelous romantic park, classified as a Remarkable Garden, laid out in the 18th century around the source of Nemausus and the ancient remains of the temple of Diana and the Magne tower. Very relaxing, the walk in these places reveals a French garden in the lower part, and a succession of Mediterranean plants, pines and cedars in the upper part. From the Magne tower, at the top of Mount Cavalier, the view over the rooftops of the city is superb!<\/p>\n
Before leaving the capital of Gard, be sure to take a stroll through the picturesque alleys of the old town and have a drink in one of the pretty squares, such as the Place du March\u00e9, the Place aux Herbes or again the Place de l\u2019Horloge.<\/p>\n
As for events, the Pentecost Feria, in May, is a great festive event lasting five days during which the bull is king. In addition to its bullfights, the Feria de N\u00eemes is also an opportunity to party with music, to the rhythm of the bandas, in the streets of the city center.<\/p>\n

Remarkably preserved, the Roman amphitheater from the end of the 1st century and the beginning of the 2nd century, with a length of 133 meters and a width of 101 meters, can accommodate up to 24,000 spectators! Open to visitors, these vast arenas regularly host shows, including the famous bullfights and Camargue bull races.<\/p>\n
Another flagship monument of the city of N\u00eemes, the Maison Carr\u00e9e, a superb Roman temple from the end of the 1st century, with columns topped with Corinthian capitals. Opposite the Maison Carr\u00e9e stands the Carr\u00e9 d\u2019Art, a modern building that houses a Museum of Contemporary Art. The city of N\u00eemes also has a Museum of Fine Arts in which French and foreign paintings ranging from the 14th to the 19th century are exhibited.<\/p>\n
To these multiple attractions is added the essential discovery of the Jardin de la Fontaine, a marvelous romantic park, classified as a Remarkable Garden, laid out in the 18th century around the source of Nemausus and the ancient remains of the temple of Diana and the Magne tower. Very relaxing, the walk in these places reveals a French garden in the lower part, and a succession of Mediterranean plants, pines and cedars in the upper part. From the Magne tower, at the top of Mount Cavalier, the view over the rooftops of the city is superb!<\/p>\n
Before leaving the capital of Gard, be sure to take a stroll through the picturesque alleys of the old town and have a drink in one of the pretty squares, such as the Place du March\u00e9, the Place aux Herbes or again the Place de l\u2019Horloge.<\/p>\n
As for events, the Pentecost Feria, in May, is a great festive event lasting five days during which the bull is king. In addition to its bullfights, the Feria de N\u00eemes is also an opportunity to party with music, to the rhythm of the bandas, in the streets of the city center.<\/p>\n

Unique in Western Europe, this troglodytic monastery preserves remarkable vestiges of its past. The chapel, which houses the relics of Saint Roman, the cells, the cisterns, the cellars and the open-air necropolis bear witness to this. From the upper terrace, where the ruins of a castle built in the 16th century and dismantled in the 19th century remain, the view over Provence and the Rhone valley is superb!<\/p>\n

Masterpiece of Antiquity, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Pont du Gard, built in the 1st century in order to be able to transport water from the sources of the Eure, near \u2018Uz\u00e8s, as far as N\u00eemes, has withstood the onslaught of time remarkably well. Straddling the waters of the Gardon river, this impressive Roman aqueduct bridge, with three levels of arcades, forms a magnificent symbiosis with the green setting in which it is inscribed. On the left bank of the Gardon, a very interesting museum dedicated to water, Gallo-Roman civilization and the famous work of art, completes the visit.<\/p>\n

Another flagship monument of the city of N\u00eemes, the Maison Carr\u00e9e, a superb Roman temple from the end of the 1st century, with columns topped with Corinthian capitals. Opposite the Maison Carr\u00e9e stands the Carr\u00e9 d\u2019Art, a modern building that houses a Museum of Contemporary Art. The city of N\u00eemes also has a Museum of Fine Arts in which French and foreign paintings ranging from the 14th to the 19th century are exhibited.<\/p>\n
To these multiple attractions is added the essential discovery of the Jardin de la Fontaine, a marvelous romantic park, classified as a Remarkable Garden, laid out in the 18th century around the source of Nemausus and the ancient remains of the temple of Diana and the Magne tower. Very relaxing, the walk in these places reveals a French garden in the lower part, and a succession of Mediterranean plants, pines and cedars in the upper part. From the Magne tower, at the top of Mount Cavalier, the view over the rooftops of the city is superb!<\/p>\n

Founded in the 5th century by hermits, then occupied until the 15th century by Benedictine monks, the abbey of Saint-Roman, nestled at the top of the Aiguille hill, in the vicinity of Beaucaire, has the particularity of being entirely dug out of the rock. Unique in Western Europe, this troglodytic monastery preserves remarkable vestiges of its past. The chapel, which houses the relics of Saint Roman, the cells, the cisterns, the cellars and the open-air necropolis bear witness to this. From the upper terrace, where the ruins of a castle built in the 16th century and dismantled in the 19th century remain, the view over Provence and the Rhone valley is superb!<\/p>\n
